What should I do to upgrade my car audio system?
Ok, I have a 1987 Porche 924S and am looking to improve the sound system. I don’t want to spend too much and am not looking into getting anything to extravagant. What I want is to improve the sound quality at the level it’s already at as well as give me the ability to crank up the sound without fear of braking anything. I was thinking of a couple of tweeters, woofers and probably a 10′ sub, but I’m not sure on anything from brand to size and would atleast like to have an idea of what I’m looking for before getting jipped at any audio stores.

go to onlinecarstereo or sonicelectronix. if u use ebay even better. get a good headunit, and go with something like infinity for speakers. very clear and loud. if u want cheaper go audiobahn. go with polk audio for sub. very clean and not to much base. cardomain has a sale on polk’s lower end subs and u can get a 10" for like $50.

A good head unit, component speakers, amp and subwoofer. Just upgrading your existing speakers really would improve the sound quality of your vehicle. Check our crutchfield.com. Im pretty sure they can help you out.

measure up your components and then get some good ones that you need amps to power or ones that come with crossovers and use them to power new components, a couple of tweeters are always good and id say due to your car an 8" sub would be good

If your looking for sound quality, id recommend MB quart, JL Audio, or Focal all around…. I have Boston Acoustics 6×9’s and 5.25’s in my car and I can crank them as loud as i can take it and its still crystal clear with no distortion. If your going to replace all the interior speakers, id recommend getting a 4 channel amp to push them
