Incar Audio Systems

I just bought my car and i want to some really nice quality audio speakers, amps and etc. in it. I want some suggestions or some ideas before i start buying them.

Ok, I know next to nothing about car audio systems. What I want is a ’small’ bass system, what I think of is a 10" sub. But thats all I know. What I need is for someone to clairfy everything else in the process of hooking this sub to your audio system with whats neccesary.Amps? Also how much this system would cost in a cheap version. Is less than 500$ possible what about 250$. Thanks

I was just wondering what site, or sites, that are strictly for car audio. Subs, amps, speakers, etc. Maybe a site with experts on the subject, cause I have alot of questions, and it takes to long here.

Alternators range from like 50 to 400 amps; but some; like for car audio are designated "high output. What does this mean? Is a "high output" 200 amp alt. better than a 300 amp "regular" alternator.

Does anyone know if i could hook up 2 amps to a 1.5 farad power cap. 1 is a kenwood 400×2 and the other is 4×110. the problem i am have is that the 4ch shuts on and off after about 15 20 min. No its not heat have fans. ground wire is 3in long so its not that. the amp is brand new. Thanks in advanced
