Car Audio : How to Bridge 2 Subwoofers Together
When attempting to bridge two subwoofers together, use a single or dual voice coil to connect the subwoofers to an amplifier. Discover which kind of amplifiers are bridgeable with help from the manager of a car audio store in this free video on car audio and subwoofers. WOW?
So?
Did you read already - your special copy…. of Electricity, Resistance, Impedance & Ohms LAW… (for dumbies)
Dam bro?
HOW much INFO (commercial_crap) do you rely on?
NEVER blindly assume - that some manufacturer ACTUALLY KNOWS ALL.
That is a standard two ch AMP (sure - you can “bridge” that to produce slightly LESS than four times the power… ONLY by earthing ONE INPUT to ground
January 6th, 2010 at 3:22 pm
@cyounkin11 QUAD mode them - two in Parrallel & two “parrallel” sets in SERIES… SAME ohm rating - as the amp … BUT amp drives EXACTLY AS HARD AS YOU WANT - with each speaker only subjuected to 1/4 max power - and thus- you will never COOK them
January 6th, 2010 at 3:26 pm
@OldSkoolNiche YES… if you ONLY have two.
Then I suggest something that people HERE will never tell you.
INVERT ONE - directly OVER the other &
CLAMP (tightly) TOGETHER with the same fixing bolts
Then reverse wire ONE - in series with the other…
Thus - ONE speaker is formed - BUT drives to the absolute MAX- without ever bottoming out - as one simply push_pulls the other…
(before either can free float to “bottom_out” their coils on the basket casing)

@progamerxt Ah c’mon… any dweeb who RUNS the same - I am a sortof manager- ADVERT crap - on his videos… is ONLY about the bottom_line “salesman” dollar.
January 6th, 2010 at 3:29 pm
@DjBass2008 NO… actually ALL he is doing- is ADVERTISING on youtube- for free… EVERYONE of his video’s… starts with the same COMMERCIAL “SALES” PITCH
January 6th, 2010 at 3:37 pm
Well- I am NOT surprised realy…
As everyone in AMERRY CAR?
(yes deliberately spelt wrongly)…
thinks that by working with just ONE “MONO” sub…
they’ll get quality sound… ?
Hah- I work at least 3 SUBS - in cars… for balanced surround subs…
along with a 4th CENTRAL “sub” subbed from the sum of those three…
PLUS at least six… if not NINE main channels… direct off ONE std stereo AMP.
January 6th, 2010 at 4:14 pm
AND?
By utilising OHMS LAW to the absolute factor… in wiring ANY two ch (three or four termina)l stereo amp - one can drive AT LEAST 12 speakers DIRECT (for the original impedance rating of the amp)… yet 12 speakers… at the AMPS rated output volume … are mostly running 1/4 volume - which is THREE TIMES the content volume… than this guy- gets with ANY two - and a hell of a lot more - than with ? (just) ONE SUB

Don’t take MY WORD
Use Ur own eyes & ears
My 10 ch educator vids are driven via 2 speaker wire_sets from a 25watt per ch stereo amp
(consider this fact)
My workshop runs the same MAKE & MODEL amp…
YET- at 2-3rd’s volume “drives”
8 MAIN channels,
2 (main) subs
PLUS a central 3rd Super_Sub?
AND-
66 (1.5v_DC) LIGHTS
But… the kicker…
There is an ALL_UP total of 28 speakers.!

how do ya brige 2 channels on amp to power one sub with L AND R both going into 1 sub
February 2nd, 2010 at 8:53 pm
First of all you need to make sure that your amp is bridgeable
look at speaker outputs on amp & see if you see the word
bridge or bridged as you can see in video but if you don’t
see anything about bridging then you can’t run the amp in
what is called bridged mode however most amps that are less than 10 yrs old are bridgeable, hope this helps
February 2nd, 2010 at 9:16 pm
if you are using 1 sub & the amp is showing L+ & R- as being
bridged then you would hook your L+ to the + of your sub &
R- to the Neg - of your sub or if your amp shows L- &R+ as
being bridged then you would just reverse the previous procedure as described good luck
